My Future Friends

I’m a traveling photographer with a heart for capturing the kind of moments that remind us what life is all about: your story of love, romance, and connection. But more than that, I’m a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and one day (with hope in my heart), a mother. These roles aren’t just titles—they are the threads of my identity, woven into everything I do. Heavenly gifts from Jesus, Himself.

From the age of twelve, I've always had a camera in hand. But if there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that life isn’t made up of the grand gestures or picture-perfect moments we often imagine. It’s built in the candid, ordinary spaces: the laughter with my husband that fills my kitchen on a busy weeknight, the childhood photos that are reminisced on during holidays, the soft squeeze of my mom's hand when words aren’t enough, the way love lingers in the little in-betweens when I'm reunited with dear friends. My life has been shaped by these moments—some fleeting, some monumental—all made meaningful because of the people who fill them. I’ve learned that love is what transforms the mundane into the extraordinary. It’s the reason a messy, chaotic day still feels beautiful when you’re surrounded by the people who matter most. It’s why a simple embrace can feel like home, and why time spent with the ones I love is never wasted.

This is the lens through which I see the world, and it’s why I’m so drawn to photography. These moments deserve to be held onto because they are fleeting—and because they are everything. For me, even after seven years of doing this full time–photography isn’t just a career; it’s a calling. It’s how I honor the love I’ve been given and the love I see in others. It’s how I take the intangible and make it tangible—a gift that lasts long after the moment has passed.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me soaking in the same kind of moments I treasure for my clients. From quiet mornings with my husband to another anniversary of sweet covenant, celebrating with friends– both their milestones and mine, lingering hugs with grandma every chance I get, full-table dinners with my family no matter the occasion, or daydreaming about the little feet that may one day fill our home. These are the moments I hold close, and these are the moments I want to capture for you.

A HOPELESS ROMANTIC AND AS NOSTALGIC AS THEY COME.

hi, i'm sarai

There is something profoundly sacred about preserving the moments that define a life. I have always been captivated by the reward of time well spent. Life moves so quickly, and the beauty of a moment can be gone before we even realize its significance. Photography, for me, is a way of pausing time—of holding onto the unrepeatable and giving it permanence. It’s not just about taking photographs; it’s about capturing the intangible: the love, the connection, the emotions that are felt so deeply yet so often forgotten as the years pass. This planted an everlasting personal need to hold on to the moments in my own life. I want to remember everything. The days I’m undeniably happy, the years I spent with the siblings I’ve never had to live without, the comfort of my childhood home bathed in golden afternoon light, the feeling of falling in love with my favorite person, the way my bestfriend hugged me when I became a bride, or the way my grandmother’s eyes teared when she saw me on my wedding day. I found myself returning to those images, not for the sake of nostalgia alone, but because they reminded me of the love and connection that made those meaningful moments mine.

As I began documenting these moments for others, I realized the extraordinary honor of stepping into someone else’s story. To be entrusted with preserving not just what a day looked like, but how it felt. My heart lies in the recognition that photographs are far more than images. They are proof of a life well-lived, a love deeply felt, and a story worth telling. They are heirlooms of the heart, passed down to remind future generations of the beauty that came before them. This work is deeply personal to me because I understand what’s at stake. I know how it feels to look back at a photograph and remember a moment so vividly that it feels as though you’re there again.

Photography is my way of saying, “This mattered. You mattered. This love, this joy, this moment—it was real, and it will never be forgotten.” This is why I do what I do: to celebrate the beauty of your life and love, to preserve the fleeting moments that make it uniquely yours, and to create something timeless that will remind you—over and over—of the incredibly rich and full story you’re living.

Breakfast, love notes, and inside jokes are my love language. I've been married five years to my wonderful husband, Oliver, and a lifetime already doesn't seem long enough with him. I love creating things with my hands. My newest infatuations are pottery and embroidery. Almost everything I own (wardrobe and all) are precious little gems I've found or thrifted. I have the sweetest, most perfect, and very aesthetically pleasing cat named Opal. She acts nothing like a cat and we love her for it. So far, I've had the chance to visit over 20 states, Canada, Italy, Spain, England, & Denmark. (Thank you, Denmark—for convincing me there's no better place on earth than you) My all-time-favorite movie is How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days. And most of all, more than anything— I adore Jesus and the character of His heart.

WHAT I ADORE

THINGS I VALUE

Oliver & I grew up together. We were both eleven years old when we met. We were just kids madly in love with life, inseparable from our childhood friends (who were all at our wedding), and full of dreams. As we got older, life took us in direct directions but the fond memories we made stayed with us. After reconnecting (and a pretty incredible "friend reunion" trip to get the gang back together), we knew without a doubt how perfectly our hearts aligned. We got married in the mountains of Utah, surrounded by our closest friends and family— committed to loving each other until kingdom come.

WHAT I ADORE

THINGS I VALUE

Experience over perfection

Making traditions of your own

Choosing to protect your peace despite other people's opinions

Doing all the things you love.

Making time for life-giving moments to unfold.

Being present and open hearted above all else.

Letting your photos reflect the life you've created instead of making it fit into something it's not.

You. I’m for you, with you, and rooting for you always. Here to celebrate everything good and wonderful happening in your life.
